Video of the Day: Detective Blippi Video for Children
YouTube Channel: Blippi
In yesterday's Video of the Day post I said that the Bounce Patrol team makes the most professional children's videos on YouTube. Today's video features Blippi (real name Stevin John), who I consider to be the greatest entertainer for children's videos. He's a clown, he's a singer, he's a teacher, always recognisable in his blue and orange clothes. 29-year-old Blippi used to be in the American air force, but now he's doing what he loves best: entertaining children.
Blippi – I prefer not to use his real name because it's too boring – began his YouTube channel in 2014 and did everything himself. When his videos became more popular he hired others to help him, and he now has a team of 20 people, including musicians and animation experts. At the moment he has 255 videos online and earns more than $500,000 per month from YouTube alone. He also sells videos and merchandise on Amazon.
There are so many excellent videos that this man has made, and it's possible that I shall review others in the future, but today I'll confine myself to "Detective Blippi", which was uploaded 12 months ago and has had 69 million views so far.
The story: Blippi goes to the park to have a meal. Someone steals his food. He calls the police, and they show him how to investigate the case.
Blippi explains what's happened to Officer Aaron Ficek from the Olympia Police Department.
Blippi is allowed to ride Officer Ficek's bicycle.
After his tour round the park Blippi is invited to participate in the investigation. He cordons off the crime scene.
Have you noticed that Blippi has a badge? He's been made an honorary member of the Olympia Police Department.
After the evidence has been collected Officer Ficek calls for reinforcements.
Blippi is allowed to ride a police motorbike.
Officer Kelsey Schmidt guides Blippi through the process of examining the evidence. What a beauty! With a face like that, how can he concentrate on a word she says?
Blippi takes the evidence out of the bag.
He dusts it for fingerprints.
Blippi is told to put the sealed evidence back in the cupboard. I think he got a bit mixed up. He didn't have to wait in the cupboard himself. Officer Patrick Hutnik is amused.
And the culprit is.....
I shan't give you any spoilers. Click here to watch the excellent video and find out who it is.
My grandson loves Blippi. He watches more videos by Blippi than anyone else. They're all so funny, they're entertaining for children and adults alike.
