This is the 35th solo album recorded by Klaus Schulze. The three tracks are distinct pieces of music, but they're mixed into one another. It was originally released as part of the limited edition box set, "Contemporary Works 1". The bonus tracks are taken from the CD "Adds & Edits", the 10th CD of the "Contemporary Works 1" box set.
This is a much better album than "Vanity of Sounds". Klaus Schulze's sequencer rhythms are subdued, but nevertheless powerful. The flute on "J. E. M." sounds very un-Schulze, if you know what I mean, but it nicely complements the sound. Julia Messenger's vocals fade into the background on the first track, but in "Overchill" her singing dominates the music.
