The Interview (4 Stars)

This is a marvellous political satire. A talk show host and his producer arrange a live television interview with Kim Jong-Un, the president of North Korea. Before they leave they are approached by CIA agents and asked to assassinate him.

I enjoyed this film despite not liking Seth Rogen. Something about his loud-mouthed crude humour is highly distasteful to me. For me the film is carried by the performance of James Franco and the actor who plays Kim Jong-Un, Randall Park.

I'm a bit confused by this disclaimer shown at the end of the film. It says that all the characters and locations in the film are fictitious, and any similarity to any locations or persons is unintentional. That's strange. I thought that there really was a fat little dictator called Kim Jong-Un in North Korea.

Girls just wanna have fun!

  1. Well that disclaimer was not enough to prevent this being axed from the cinemas..
I really enjoyed this with a beer or two, but deep down know this is only a 3 star flick.
