This is the 17th match of the season, marking it as the halfway point. I said
I would resume my full game reports when Stuttgart reached the 14th place, but
I shan't do that today. Stuttgart is in equal 14th place with Bochum and is
only ahead on goal difference. Apart from that, Bochum and Augsburg have only
played 16 games so far. With such a close race, Stuttgart is only one game
away from being relegated. If Stuttgart had won, the team would still be in
14th place, but with a (relatively) safe 18 points.
VfB Stuttgart should have won, but Hoffenheim scored the equaliser in the
fourth minute of extra time. In football you can never be complacent.
