Kung fu kicking zombies, ghosts and vampires... a drunken wizard... grave robbers... family feuds... and a Buddhist monk saves the day! This film has it all! Considering this is a comedy, there are some incredible fight sequences.
How DO you kill something that is already dead? Oriental films are so weird! Billy Chong is cute though, this looks like a movie to be watched after the third glass of wine :-)
The 1970's were the classic years of martial arts films. These were films with a thin plot linking a series of extended fight scenes. Bruce Lee's "Enter the Dragon" was the peak of this genre. "Kung Fu Zombie" was made in 1982, where the studios were feeling it necessary to flesh out martial arts films with bigger plots.
I've read that Billy Chong was a big martial arts star in the 1970's, but I've never seen any of his other films. He obviously has tremendous skill.
