This is the 17th solo album recorded by Klaus Schulze. It was written as a soundtrack for "Angst", the final film directed by the Austrian Gerald Kargl. Klaus composed the music after reading the script, before the filming began. Only one track, "Surrender", was actually used in the film.

I enjoy the album, though I find the tracks somewhat shallower than Klaus Schulze's usual music. Is shallow the right word? Maybe it isn't. I can't quite describe the problem. Something is missing.

As for the bonus track, there are only two things I can say about it:

1. It doesn't fit in with the other tracks, because it has a different style.

2. It's incredible!

Like "Gem" on "Audentity", this is another bonus track that's better than the tracks on the original LP. The track's title refers to the track itself. Klaus Schulze's publisher KDM found the track on a tape that had been recorded 20 years previously. Both Klaus and KDM were amazed by the quality. Most of the tracks found on old tapes were given names by KDM, but Klaus himself named this track "Silent Survivor" because it had survived silently for 20 years.
