Intergalactic Swingers (3 Stars)
The title of this film is deceptive. I'm guessing it was picked because it sounded catchy, not because it's an accurate portrayal of what happens in the film.
Alana and Dara are travelling across space on a vital mission. Their planet is dying, and they have to find a new planet suitable for colonisation. They discover the Earth, and they beam down to explore. While on the Earth they discover that an asteroid is on a collision course for the Earth, an asteroid so large that it will destroy all life on Earth. They decide to help the people of Earth avert the tragedy, at first because they want to save the planet for themselves, but then because they are growing to like the people of Earth. Or rather the women of Earth. Alana and Dara are lesbians. Don't get me wrong, I accept everyone's sexual choices, but I don't think this lifestyle is the best choice for colonising a new planet.
This is the third film that's been directed by Dean McKendrick. Unfortunately, it's not up to the standard of his previous films. Ryan Driller is reasonable as the computer geek Steve, but none of the other actors are convincing in their roles.
