This is a film about a group of professional hitmen that takes place in and
around a train station. Many things happen that seem to be random occurrences,
but towards the end of the film everything is neatly tied up. That's just the
problem with the film. For most of it the viewer is left puzzling what things
have to do with one another.
The film's strength is the high calibre of its actors. Margot Robbie and Simon
Pegg are excellent. The film's weakness is the general confusion. For most of
the film Simon Pegg, who's terminally ill, sits talking to Margot Robbie about
ways to kill himself, while two hitmen are discussing their next job. The
scenes swap backwards and forwards, and there are even flashbacks to earlier
occurrences, leaving the viewer with no idea what's going on. It's true, if I
watch the film a second time I'll know how everything fits together, but I
doubt I'll watch it again.
By the way, don't you think that Margot Robbie looks sexy with black lipstick?
Or is it just dark red lipstick, so dark that it looks black? Whichever it is,
it's a perfect contrast to her blond hair.
