This episode was first broadcast on 23rd March 2011.
Bear is a simple bear with simple interests. Now that he's retired from the
circus he wants to live a quiet life in the forest. I once had a fortune
cookie with the saying, "The man is richest whose pleasures are cheapest". If
that's true, Bear must be the richest animal in Russia.
Did you spot what's in his letterbox? A new book of crossword puzzles!
Bear is ecstatic. He makes a pot of tea and sits down with his book.
But he's hardly started on the first puzzle when Masha arrives.
Bear throws the book over his head in despair, but Masha thinks he's trying to
hide.
Masha insists on playing Hide And Seek with Bear. While he's hiding he does
his puzzles.
There are distractions. Rabbit is stealing Bear's carrots.
Bad Rabbit! The carrot is saved, but the noise means that Masha finds Bear.
So Bear hides deeper in the forest, and he bumps into She-Bear plucking
raspberries. She must think he's a pervert, creeping around like that.
So Bear hides in the shower, but Masha finds him.
Bear hides in the outside toilet, but Masha finds him.
There's only one solution. Bear hides on the Moon, where he can do his
crossword puzzles in peace and Masha will never find him.
But she floats all the way through space to Bear's hiding place. He can forget
his crossword puzzles.
The End.
