This album was originally released in 2000 as part of the 10-CD box set "Contemporary Works 1". It was rereleased as a solo CD in 2016, but it's already sold out. I'm hoping this will be rectified soon. Not every Klaus Schulze fan was as fast as me to order it from Amazon as soon as it was released. In fact, this will be a must-buy item for Klaus Schulze fans who haven't even been born yet. I hope KDM is reading this.

The album in the box set was labelled as "Privée" by U.S.O. The prefix "Klaus Schulze's" was added to the solo CD to make it obvious to fans who's on it. It's also a help to less well informed employees of music stores to tell them where to put the CD. If it were filed under "U Various", nobody would ever find it.

I called "Drums 'n' Balls" a fake Wahnfried album, because Wahnfried is a group with several members who contribute equally to the music, but on that album Klaus played alone. "Privée" is the opposite. It's a fake non-Wahnfried album. It's a recording session of three musicians who came together just for one album, like the Wahnfried albums. The group's name is formed from the initials of the three musicians: Uwe, Schulze and Olli.

The music is enjoyable, though it sounds more like Wahnfried than Schulze. His fans will know what I mean. The title track is the closest to the normal Schulze sound.

The bonus track is taken from the CD "Adds & Edits", the 10th CD of the "Contemporary Works 1" box set.

My overall rating of 4½ stars is the average of four stars for the first two tracks and five stars for the last two tracks.
