This is the eighth and last album that Klaus Schulze made using the pseudonym Richard Wahnfried. At least, it's the last Wahnfried album until now. Nobody knows for certain what he will do next year, but after 20 years without a Wahnfried allbum it's safe to assume there won't be any more.

It was originally released as the third disc of the limited edition box set, "Contemporary Works 1". The only guest musicians mentioned in the liner notes are the group Solar Moon on the third track. However, the liner notes also say that the guitar and vocals have been removed from earlier versions of "Local Scanning". I've read that "Local Scanning" was included on a CD-R given away in 1998. It would be interesting to compare the tracks, if I could get my hands on a copy of the CD-R. It's possible that the contributions of the other musicians were removed at short notice in 2000.

My overall rating of 4½ stars is the average of five stars for the first track and four stars for the other two tracks.
