This is the tenth track of the album "My Cat Arnold", which was released in
1989. It's unique as being the only track on which Karen herself doesn't sing.
I find it unusual that this track has been put in the prominent place as
the album's closing track.
The Man's vocals are in italics.
The vocals by the group are in bold italics.
Green Beans
Green beans.
Green beans.
Oh what's wrong with this scene?
Don't you see every bean on this plate is green?
Oh baby, don't, please don't feed me these things.
Just put them on the side, way on the side,
I don't need this all, please.
Something in the back of my mind
Is telling me I don't eat these things.
They're green.
Green beans.
I never thought I'd have to sing
About a thing like a green bean.
Green beans.
Just look, just look at this garden,
That's all I see,
They could have grown some carrots,
Maybe some black eyed peas.
Oh, corn and cabbage would be nice,
Maybe some lettuce on the side,
Of all the vegetables in existence,
Why've you always got put things in my eye?
All I wanted out of this life was a variety of vegetables,
And all I've been getting are these dreaded, dreaded
Green beans.
