This is the seventh film in the Stuttgart Fantasy Film Festival.
Chloe moves from Paris to a small village to take a job as schoolteacher. Her
ex-husband has been causing her problems, so she wants to move as far away
from him as possible. Her son Jules needs a hearing aid, which he turns off
whenever he doesn't want to listen. The local children make fun of him because
of his disability. Chloe herself settles in, and she begins a relationship
with the village doctor.
Calves are being killed outside the village. The villagers go out to hunt for
the wild beast killing them, but with no success. Only Jules knows what's
happening. He says that the doctor turns into a beast at night and kills the
calves. He prefers to eat children, but calves are easier to catch.
This is a beautiful film with wonderful scenery and a dark, foreboding
atmosphere.
