After the assault on the Banshee police station the FBI sends a heavily armed
task force to arrest the Redbones, in particular Chayton. That's not good enough for Lucas Hood.
He sneaks into the Indian reservation at night to kill Chayton before the FBI can
arrest him. This doesn't work as well as planned. Chayton flees to New
Orleans, where he used to be a prize fighter. Lucas pursues him, accompanied
by Deputy Brock.
Since the death of his mother, Kai Proctor is finding his religious
beliefs again.
Kai returns to the Amish and asks to be baptised.
Kai's niece Rebecca is also sad about her grandmother's death, but she's
showing no signs of repentance. At the funeral she rejects her mother's offer
to take her back. She begins to make business deals behind her uncle's back.
Lucas Hood takes his job as sheriff seriously, but he's still a thief in his
spare time. Together with Job, Anna (aka Carrie) and Sugar he pulls off the
biggest robbery of his life. He steals $14 million dollars in cash from an
army base. The cinematography of the robbery, which takes up most of the
seventh episode, is impressive. We see everything through the body cameras of
the four robbers and the camp's security cameras. This makes the viewer feel
like he's in the middle of the action.
But Lucas is already cracking up under the stress of his double life. He
imagines what things would have been like if he'd saved the life of the real
Lucas Hood. He tells himself that Siobhan would still be alive. There's
nothing wrong with imaging what-if scenarios, but he begins to hallucinate,
seeing Siobhan in front of him.
There's so much I could write about this series. It's a strong recommendation
for all my readers.
